Detox

Team

The first part of any treatment for addiction begins with detoxification from the substances that you’re dependent upon. This withdrawal process is known as detoxification or detox for short.

Our dedicated medical staff will facilitate and oversee your detox program allowing you to be comfortable and engaged with the rest of the clients when you enter either our 4-week or 12-week program at The River Rehab.

Detox is widely recognized as the most challenging part of treatment, which is why it is so important to have 24/7 on site nursing staff to monitor our clients through this process. A specialist Doctor at a local clinic assesses all clients for their detox needs.

The Detoxification Process

Alcohol detoxes are particularly dangerous, and although heroin and opiate detoxes are rarely fatal, the withdrawal process can be uncomfortable.

At The River, we understand how personal withdrawal can be because many of our staff are recovering alcoholics and addicts themselves.

Because of this unique perspective, we go out of our way to take care of you during this difficult time, by creating a safe space for you to withdraw.

We provide you with 24-hour a day monitoring along with creature comforts such as exclusive in-room television access to Netflix and WiFi. Furthermore, we aim to medicate you appropriately to ensure that you’re as pain-free as possible.

We will do whatever we can to keep you safe, secure and medically supervised as you transition through this crucial stage on your road to recovery.
